  1. water...lots and lots of water
  2. bake your meats and have baked chicken or turkey
  3. Eat as many foods as you can that are high in fiber. These generally are reasonable in calories but very filling. The downside is a high fiber diet may cause gas.
  4. Beans. There are so many different varieties and they all taste different. You can cook them anyway you like with just about anything you like.
  5. oatmeal! lots and lots of oatmeal. with raisins and honey... yummy...
  6. Egg Beater Vegetable Omelets: Use mushrooms, celery, diced onions, chopped tomatoes or any vegetable you like. Stir fry the vegetables in a skillet using PAM or substitute spray cooking oil. Simmer and add spices, pepper, garlic or whatever your taste buds like. Pour in about 1/2 cup of Egg Beaters and stir till done. Drop in a slice of wheat toast in the toaster, two if you dare and pour a little honey and Cinnamon, grab a cup of skim milk and sit down and enjoy. Maybe have a few banana slices on the side. Hey I got to go. All of a sudden I have an urge to eat!!! I'm a heart attack survivor and I eat a lot of this kind of stuff, MMMH Good.
  7. Eat cholesterol and saturated fat. Eggs cooked in butter with bacon on the side. Avoid trans-fats vegetable oils and carbohydrates. Live longer and feel better. email me if you want to know more. The cholesterol myth has been debunked for 10 years. "The great tragedy of Science-the slaying of a beautiful hypothesis by an ugly fact." (Thomas Huxley, 1825-1895) "The growth of knowledge depends entirely on disagreement" (Karl R. Popper, 1902-1994)
  8. Diet has absolutely nothing to do with cholesterol levels. You could be eating anything you wanted and the numbers wouldn't change hardly at all. Foods really don't have anything to do with it. and the meds don't work to lower it either.
  9. Steak and eggs.
  10. Your words "low cholesterol diet" are a matter I think you may need to consider more deeply as you may be under some misconceptions about cholesterol. Suggest check following to find out if you have been conned on that subject? http://www.thegreatcholesterolcon.com http://www.cholesterolcare.net http://www.naturalnews.com/001268.html That said, as one who also lives alone and has recently been rightly slated by others on YA for my being lazy and disgusting, may I advise you if you are concerned about getting fat the solution may be to take more exercise and then you will be able to eat a lot more and still not get fat nor increase your risk of hypertension.. But a lot depends on your genetic factors.and how much exercise you currently take but lots of fruit might be worthy of consideration in your case.
