  2. read the package. nutritiondata.com is a good site if it doesnt have a label. in general dairy products with a lot of fat, eggs and meats have cholesterol
  3. read the package, then frying in canola oil will be better than butter but if you have eggs add the teaspoon of that to the total. like for fruits and vegetables you might want to do a search on the net. It's all a bit overwhelming at first just start slow and build steam. My mom is diabetic so I had to get info like this. How many grams of fat sugar etc. are in a half a banana. ~cringe~ Fortunately the hospital provided much useful info on serving sizes etc.
