  1. exercise regularly: try pilates because it is gentle and does not require you to overwork your muscles and lungs. try breathing exercies. see a doctor... never give up on your exercise regime and eat healthly: cut down on meat... try acai berry if you need to loose weight .
  2. Cholesterol profile test should be conducted. You should control cholesterol by diet, exercise and statin drugs. Adopt DASH diet.(The Mediterranean diet) Eat a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet, which includes cottage cheese, fat-free milk, fish, vegetables, poultry, and egg whites. Use monounsaturated oils such as olive, peanut, and canola oils or polyunsaturated oils such as corn, safflower, soy, sunflower, cottonseed, and soybean oils. Avoid foods with excess fat in them such as meat (especially liver and fatty meat), egg yolks, whole milk, cream, butter, shortening, pastries, cakes, cookies, gravy, peanut butter, chocolate, olives, potato chips, coconut, cheese (other than cottage cheese), coconut oil, palm oil, and fried foods.
  3. ABANA.A cholesterol control tablet by Himalaya company. http://www.himalayahealthcare.com/products/abana.htm Take this tablet until your cholesterol level comes to a control. Then check your cholesterol level and then continue with low dosage or you can stop it. But never stop walking. If you don't want to run, then walk extra miles. Have a control on your diet also.Avoid all sweets, alcohol, fatty foods and eat more raw sprouts and veggies.Mostly go for very light food like soups and porridges.Do some yoga for 1/2 hr.This gives you stress free mind.Take a liver test.Sometimes irregular function of liver also a reason for high lipid levels.
  4. Great on the weight loss and exercise. Has a doctor checked your cholesterol? Is your reading accurate? If not you really need to see one, get an accurate reading and ask for advice. There is 'good' and 'bad' cholesterol. To help reduce your cholesterol level, you need to cut down on saturated fats and trans fats and replace them with monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats. You should also reduce the total amount of fat you eat. Eat oily fish regularly. Oily fish provides the richest source of a particular type of polyunsaturated fat known as omega-3 fats which can help to lower blood triglyceride levels and also helps prevent the blood from clotting, and help to regulate the heart rhythm. Eat a high-fibre diet. Foods that are high in 'soluble fibre' such as porridge, beans, pulses, lentils, nuts, fruits and vegetables, can help lower cholesterol. Please see our information on fibre. Doing regular physical activity can help increase your HDL cholesterol (the 'protective' type of cholesterol). Will eating sterol-enriched foods help reduce my cholesterol level? There is evidence to show that substances called ‘plant sterols’ and ‘stanols’ may help reduce cholesterol levels. They are added to certain foods including margarines, spreads, soft cheeses and yoghurts. And don't go buying pills from a Himalayan company online or berries from Brazil.
