does coconut and coconut products have colestrol? How about Ghee, does it have cholestrol?
I love cooking with coconut milk and some times ghee. Some people say ghee is animal fat and so it has cholesterol, others say it doesn't. Which is which? Am not sure about coconut products. Please advice.

- Both have good cholestrol
- Ghee does. It is clarified butter.Coconut does not but has saturated fats, no cholesterol.
- Coconut and coconut milk do not have cholesterol in them. Only animal products contain cholesterol. The "milk" in coconuts isn't really milk, it's white....so it has been named milk. Ghee? Yes, ghee has cholesterol in it. All animal products contain cholesterol. Ghee is clarified cow's butter. Here is a website from Discovery Health which offers some very good info on cholesterol: http://health.discovery.com/centers/articles/articles.html?chrome=c18&article=LC_110¢er=p05
